 Yolo County RFP

Area 4 Agency on Aging will issue a Request for Proposals on July 17, 2017 for organizations interested in federal Older Americans Act funds to serve Yolo County. $37,307 to $49,076 in Title III-B Transportation Services and $22,152 in Title III-E Caregiver Respite. Mandatory Letter of Interest due July 24. Mandatory Bidder’s Conference for all applicants and subcontractors/collaborators/partners on July 26. Proposals due August 16, 2017 by 12 Noon Pacific. Services begin October 1, 2017 subject to 1-year renewal through June 30, 2019; Transportation Services have potential for 2-year extension through June 30, 2021. Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Caregiver Support, Caregiver Respite, Disease Prevention/Health Promotion were not part of the 2017 RFP process.

RFP Cycle

Agency on Aging – Area 4 follows a three-step process which normally repeats on four-year intervals.

  • First, a comprehensive Needs Assessment  is done in each county to determine the top needs of older adults in the service area.
  • Second, AAA4 sets major goals and specific objectives that are intended to address those needs by drafting a new Area Plan.
  • Third, a Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued, and funding is awarded to community based organizations to deliver Older Americans Act services.

The Area Plan describes the role and mission of Agency on Aging – Area 4 and outlines the major goals and objectives the Agency will seek to achieve during the four year planning period.

Public input is gathered during special public meetings and written testimony is collected at that time. We always welcome your comments and suggestions and want you to participate in our surveys of older adults, caregivers of older adults, those working with older adults, or those concerned with aging and community.
