Direct Services

By funding service partners throughout our 7 county service region, AAA4 is able to bring Older Americans Act funding support to many communities and individuals directly.

Yuba-Sutter Meals on Wheels

The mission of the program is to combat the effects of hunger, loneliness and isolation among eligible older adults.

Home-delivered meals are available to seniors’ age of 60 and older in Yuba & Sutter Counties, that are homebound due to illness, recovery, disability or other causes that prevent them from leaving their home. Five nutritious meals are delivered once a week by our driver directly to the older adult’s door. Prior to receiving home-delivered meals, an assessment worker will make a home visit to determine eligibility.

Home-delivered meals are free for eligible older adults, however donations are truly welcomed. Contact us for more information | Phone: 1(916) 486-1876 or 1(800) 211-4545

Grass Valley Office and RSVP of Nevada County:

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Nevada County, a program of Agency on Aging\Area 4, regrettably announces the termination of project activities in Nevada County effective December 31 2017

We appreciate the partnership and support of RSVP we have received by the community over the past 30 years. We hope the many non-profit and government agencies will continue to support the volunteers serving in their agencies and work with them to develop meaningful volunteer opportunities for future service.

The RSVP Program of Nevada County project staff and AAA4 greatly appreciate the services by RSVP volunteers. Their service made a positive difference in our community, and we hope that they have also realized many personal benefits by serving others. It is our sincere hope that they will continue to enrich the community through volunteer service.

For those wishing to contact the Telephone Reassurance Program, please contact FREED at 1(530) 477-3333.

AAA4 would like to recognize our staff and program volunteers for their passion for volunteerism, hard work and dedication. Thank you!

We are very pleased that the County of Nevada is interested in creating a new volunteer program in the future. In the interim, interested volunteers or non-profit entities can call 211 (Connecting Point) to get questions answered.

Sincerely,
