Agency on Aging \ Area 4 (AAA4) welcomes qualified applicants interested in federal Older Americans Act (OAA) and/or State Program Award, State Reimbursement Award and Federal SHIP Award funding for two separate programs:

• Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP)
  • Must provide HICAP services in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties
  • Initial contract period begins April 1, 2023 and ends March 30, 2024
  • Renewable annually through March 30, 2027
  • Estimated annual funding available is $482,253
• Title III-B Supportive Services: Transportation
  • Must provide Transportation services in Nevada County only
  • Initial contract period begins February 1, 2023 and ends June 30, 2023
  • Renewable annually for State Fiscal Year 2023-24 and 2024-25
  • Estimated annual funding available is $32,283

Annual contract renewals are subject to funding availability and satisfactory fulfillment of contracted obligations.  A MANDATORY Letter of Intent (LOI) indicating an interest in applying for funding must be received by AAA4 (aka Agency on Aging \ Area 4) no later than Friday, October 14, 2022.  The LOI may be sent by email to: rfp@agencyonaging4.org, or mailed to: AAA4/RFP-LOI, 1401 El Camino Avenue, 4^th Floor, Sacramento CA 95815.

ALL potential applicants must participate in a MANDATORY Bidder’s Conference on Friday, October 21, 2022 at A4AA’s Sacramento office. If an organization is interested in submitting a proposal on behalf of a subcontractor, a collaborative, or a partnership, then a representative from all of the parties involved must be in attendance either in person, by video conference, or by conference call. Details of the Bidder’s Conference will be sent prior to October 21 to those applicants who have successfully submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI).

The application due time and date is Noon (Pacific) on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
