Do you receive SSI? Don’t miss out on food benefits!
Agency on Aging Area 4 is currently assisting with CalFresh Food applications in our seven-county region: Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties.
CalFresh Food helps people with low income buy the nutritious food they need for good health. Recipients who apply and meet federal income eligibility rules can purchase food at any grocery store or farmers market that accepts EBT. Receiving CalFresh Food benefits does NOT change or reduce SSI/SSP amounts.
Find out if you’re eligible & apply! For CalFresh Food application assistance or questions, please call: 1-800-211-4545
The process: We’ll help you complete an application by phone, online, or in person. You’ll then complete a phone interview with your county and provide proof of income and expenses, as needed. The county will determine your eligibility in 30 days or less.
For other languages or reasonable accommodations, find an office at CalFresh.org. For speech and/or hearing assistance call 711 Relay.
